I’m very impressed with the quality of netbooks coming out. Cloud computing is really getting its feet on the ground. As laptops under $500 go, the new HP Mini coming out that’s priced at $200 looks awesome for the price. I think this is going to be one of the best laptops rated by the end of the year. The trials runs at CES 2009 were impressive, and despite it’s small size the keyboard is wide and easy to type on. Also with the multitude of web 2.0 apps available these days there’s no limit to the functionality it seems.

I found a nifty device for giving business presentations the other day. It’s a Salient V-Mouse, and while I’m not sure that it’s a good replacement for a tablet stylus pen mouse combination, it’s certainly better than a plain old mouse or laser pointer. I was watching some TED talks and there seem to be more innovations coming on that front with air gestures and touch screen computing, but until then I think a V-Mouse or mouse tablet will work great for my purposes.
