Soon the days of the traditional movie rental stores will be gone. Many of these stores have moved on to renting movies online. The real threat to the movie rental stores are the DVD rental vending machines. These machines are fully automated, easy to use, have easy payment method. The customers do not have to worry about credit checks and membership policies. Customers do not have waste time in searching for their favorite movie DVD and waiting in the line the check off the movie DVD rented. There are a around a handful of companies which have already started to make a mark with these machines, prominent ones being Redbox, DVDplay and DVDXpress.

To begin, you will need to find a service agent that is licensed to transmit signals that are compatible with your AKAI Projection TV.  Typically, cable companies and satellite dish providers offer this type of programming.  As may be expected, the price for these services will vary widely depending on the quality of signal that you choose.  Unfortunately, you will not be able to simply hook up an antenna to your new TV and tune into the nearest local station.  On the other hand, you should still be able to hook the TV up to your DVD player or VCR.  That said, before purchasing a new TV, it would be best to know all of the programming costs associated with owning it.

I’ve been wanting to archive some HDTV recordings, so I’ve been checking out the latest options for HD DVD burning.
I’ve been shopping around for hd dvd player recorders, and decided it might be time to pick one up, so I can start backing up my HDTV programs and collection.
I’ve narrowed down my search to Blu Ray Recorders, I think. I was worried about the whole Blu-Ray vs. HD DVD fight at first, but what with dual standard players coming out, I don’t think it will be a problem.
